COLLEEN FARLEY
—
When writing a book, an author will oftentimes have a foreword at the beginning, written by someone who knows them well. In some instances, it tells of interactions between the writer of the foreword and the book's author, but in this case, that would put us in jail.
Colleen is a force to be reckoned with. Growing up I knew she would go on to be something great, and someone I wanted to be. I vividly remember my arrival in New York City at the tender age of 20, greeted by Colleen with a glass of wine and a cigarette, as she casually declared, "Hey girl, welcome to The City," where "The City" was eternally New York. Over the past 20 years, Colleen has cut her teeth in the music industry, time and time again, as well as hospitality, but she always had a creative side. Whether it was decorating the apartment for every holiday- “Make it nice Cas!” she would yell to me as I awkwardly hung Halloween skulls, or seeing beauty in the seemingly mundane- “It just needs a little somethin’ ya know?!’. Colleen is the definition of a creative soul, decked out in black, spikes, and a touch of fabulous.
If you're fortunate enough to have Colleen craft something for you, consider it a symbol of belonging to the family. Just as Tony Soprano famously noted, "Family—they're the only ones you can depend on."
I hope you enjoy Colleen’s work.
